On September 16th six Catholic dioceses across California, including Los Angeles, Orange,
San Bernardino, San Diego, Fresno and Sacramento announced the opening of a “compensation program”
that is available to victims of clergy sexual abuse as an alternative to court action. These Dioceses collectively cover more than 10 million Catholics, or about 80% of the state's Catholics.

The compensation program offers clergy abuse victims an opportunity to settle
claims without having to go to court - no matter how long ago the sexual abuse occurred.

What are Catholic Diocese Compensation Programs?

Diocese compensation programs offer victims of clergy abuse an opportunity to obtain cash settlements without going to court. This does not mean that you should go through a diocese compensation program without an attorney representing your interests. While many of the dioceses will tell you you do not need an attorney, keep in mind that their attorneys get to evaluate your claim and in many instances the dioceses can have an investigator question you.
I am an experienced clergy abuse attorney who has worked in Diocesan Settlement programs across the United States and I can help you maximize your claim. Programs will open soon so don't delay.
Let's get started on your claim preparation now. Call today.
