For the Diocese of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Background from the IRCP Program

On December 13, 2018, the Diocese of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (the “Diocese”) announced the formation of the Independent Reconciliation and Compensation Program (the "IRCP" or "Program") to compensate victims of clergy sexual abuse of minors by clergy of the Diocese. The Diocese has retained Kenneth R. Feinberg and Camille Biros, to serve as Administrators of the IRCP and to begin work effective January 22, 2019.

  • Individuals who have not previously filed a complaint with the Diocese may register to participate in the Program on or before July 31, 2019.

  • Eligible claims will be paid within two weeks from the time that a submitted claim is deemed eligible, compensation is determined and a Release is received by the Administrators.

  • The deadline to register a new allegation is July 31, 2019.

Scranton is expected to open soon.
